This is a late Qing example of Peking Glass – circa 1880-1910. It is a footed bowl with a flared bowl done in a lovely dark blue/purple color. There are some bubbles in the glass and the makeup of the foot lead us to believe it to be from the late 19th to early 20th century. The bowl measures 4 1/4" diameter at the top and is 2 1/8” high and is 1 ½” diameter at the base. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.A few very light scratches on the base.

An elegant and simple small Peking footed glass bowl with flared ridge rim. The bowl measures 2 1/2" high and is 4 1/8" diameter at the top. The color is hard to describe - it is a rose-lavender-pink color that is quite soft and handsome. Because of the thickness of the glass and the base, we believe the bowl dates from the late 19th to very early 20th century. Excellent condition.

A very simple and lovely Peking glass small vase made to simulate a pale celadon nephrite jade. As Peking glass makers experimented with their craft, they delighted in coming up with formulae that could simulate various minerals such as jade, hardstones, agates, etc. This is a classic simulation of nephrite jade with slight streakiness in the interior to replicate the natural striations in jade. There is a very thin layer of whitish glass lining the interior of the neck. From the look and feel o ...click for details
