This book – titled “Selected Arrangements of Moribana and Heikwa, Volume I that was published by Yamanaka & Co. in 1934. It has 100 illustrations of these different arrangements and has been translated into English. It is in excellent condition with some slight foxing on some of the pages. The book measures 9” by 6” wide and is ¾” thick. It is bound in paperboard and tied with silk ribbons on the end. This is a set of twelve books titled simply "Japan". They are part of what was a set of fifteen books - books 2,4,and 8 are missing. The collection of books was written by "An Eminent Japanese Authorities and Scholars" and edited by Captain F. Brinkley of Tokyo. The publisher was J.B. Millett Co. Boston and the set was published in 1897. The books are in good condition with some toning and a few small corners missing. This is one of the rare copies of one of their auction catalog from 1906. The catalog has a silk cover and measures 8 ½” by 6” by ½” thick and has 976 lots listed. It is in very good condition.
