The scroll is surrounded by a profusion of chrysanthemums on all sides. Just above the scroll is a painting of Mt. Fuji in the distance with a crane flying by. The painting is executed in paint on pale gold silk. On the back is another piece of same sized silk in a bright red and bearing a the Pawlownia mon (crest) which is reserved for the Imperial court.
