A Chinese Light Celadon Bowl - Ming/Qing
This is a Chinese celadon bowl with a very pale - almost white - celadon colot. The bowl might have been a kiln mistake as it is slightly out of round and not the top of the bowl is slanted and wavy. It might have been deliberate - but that would be more in the modern studio ceramics tradition.

The bowl measures 5" diameter at the top - is 1 5/8" diameter at base and is 4" deep. It has a blue mark in cobalt blue - the traditional Fuku mark meaning Good Luck or Fortune. It is in excellent condition. It was dated by the previous owner as being from the 14th-15th century, Ming dynasty. To be conservative we date it to the late Qing dynasty.
