| This is a lovely Chinese cloisonné round covered box covered all over with multiple colored flowers in reds, yellow, and blues on a black ground. In the very center of the top is a bat design. The inside of the box is done in lovely soft blue enamel. The box measures 2” high by 3 ½” diameter. We date it to the mid to late 19th century, Qing Dynasty. Chinese lore claims the bat is a symbol of longevity and happiness – and Good Fortune. | ||||||||||||
