| A very striking Japanese Studio Vase – mustard yellow/gold base color with dark green drips coming down the sides from the top. Signed. Probably dates from late Meiji to early Showa period, circa 1920-1935. Measures 7 ½” tal; and is 5 ½ “ diameter at its widest point. Right two letter top to down reads "IZUMO" The left two letter read "WAKAYAMA" - Izumo is the province name - a place over the back side of Japan, today called Shimane Prefecture. Wakayama is the name of the maker, or artist. Excellent condition. | |||||||
