Late Meiji standard and gin bari cloisonne vase. Covered with iridescent primary, green and blue shades, with purple, pink, and white accents. A most unusual design in the form of four fleur de lis between two bands of green/blue ginbari dots. Not signed. It is in excellent condition - one tiny dimple that does not break the surface - no chips, cracks, dings, no enamel loss, definitely well cared for. Measures 5 1/8" tall and is 2 1/4" diameter at the shoulder. We date this piece from the early Meiji period, circa 1870-1885.
