| Of a rounded ovoid shape on a flat oval base, this snuff bottle is of a most unusual color. We believe it to be a form of chalcedony agate, however, it could be from the yellow quartz family. Either way, it has a lovely golden yellow color that has fine uniformity throughout. The stopper is of pink tourmaline and is attached to a dark brown spoon - possibly horn and most probably the original. The bottle measures 2 1/2" high by 1 1/2" wide by 1 1/8" thick and is in excellent condition and is very nicely hollowed. We date this bottle to the late 19th to early 20th century. | ||||||||||
