| A Japanese red lacquer Kamakuri Bori plate with an impressed design of three stylized dragons in the center - a border of impressed flowers near the edge - and a Greek Key border at the rim. The underside is of plain black lacquer with a red lacquer rim. Measures 9 3/4" diameter and is 3/4" thick at the rim, Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. We date the piece to the Taisho to early Showa period - circa 1920s to 1940s - possibly even earlier. | |||||||||
