A Satsuma double gourd flower vase with spare floral design of flowers in reds, yellows and blues with one small butterfly amongst the flowers. The item is signed and the signature has been translated as "Yasuda Zo (made)". The vase measures 9" high and is 2 5/8" diameter at its widest. Excellent condition with some tiny rim frits and two stable hairlines from the firing in the kiln.. We date it to the late Meiji period, circa 1890-1910.
