A Tibetan Pendant or Necklace of Silver Alloy - 19th C.
A silver allow pendant necklace with a very detailed large pendant portraying a warrior riding a fierce looking month. We think the animal could be either a very strange horse, a kylin, a horse with dragon features - or some other mythical animal. We lean to the Kylin idea because of the animal horns and the scale on the body and legs.

The pendant itself measures 3 1/2" wide by 3 3/4" long by 5/8" thick and is in excellent condition - we did not measure the length of the link type chain that holds up the pendant. We believe the piece if from the Tibetan area - or possibly northern China and that it depicts some historically important warrior. We estimate that it dates from the early to mid 19th century.
