A Japanese Celadon Pitcher – Showa Period
This is a handsome ceramic pitcher glazed in a lovely soft celadon color. The pitcher measures 6 ¾” high to the top of the finial – is 7 ¾” diameter from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle and the main body of the pitcher is 3 ½” diameter. There is an impressed mark on the lower side of the piece which we have not been able to identify. The pitcher is in excellent condition. We date it to the mid 20th century, circa 1950-1970s.
