A tall Japanese porcelain flower vase in a tubular form and a flared base with five feet and a design in gold on the base. The top half of the vase is a lovely lime green. From the base we find a number of stylized Japanese white cranes. The vase measures a tall 11 1/2" and is 3 1/2" diameter at the tubular part and then the base measures 5 1/2" diameter. The vase is in generally good condition; however, there is a 2-3" stable hairline crack that extend downward from the top rim. The vase would still function beautifully as a flower vase in a Japanese setting. We date the vase to the late Meiji period, circa 1885-1910.
