A nice little double gourd vase with a light purple colored glaze. It has a metal ring as a rim, which would indicate that the vase once had a taller neck. Obviously the former owner valued it enough to have the cracked part of the upper neck trimmed and then have the metal rim installed. The vase measures 3 5/8" high and is 2" diameter at the widest. It is in very good condition with a couple of light scratches. We date it to the late 19th century to early 20th - circa 1890s-1920s. |
