One of the loveliest Japanese cloisonne vases in our collection, this product of the Golden Age of Japanese cloisonne has a great design of three doves pecking at scraps on the ground. The base color of the vase is a light turquoise color - the three doves are white with pink, blue and light oranges areas on their body. The doves are executed in precise detail with wonderful detail to the feathers, heads and legs. The vase measures 5 3/4" high - the small top opening is 3/4" diameter - the widest diameter is 3" and the base is 1 1/4" diameter. It is in excellent condition. We date it to what has been called the Golden Age of Japanese cloisonne - 1890s-1920. |
