| This is a fun, fairly large, all white seated dog – probably from the Kutani kilns in imitation of Hirado ware. The dog has a ruffled collar and three small bells hang from the collar. There is good definition to the dog’s fur and facial features – and even the bottom of the paws is well carved, The dog measures 7” high and is 6” long by 4” wide. It is in excellent condition. We date it to the late Meiji period, circa 1890-1910. | ||||||||||||
