| This is a sumi ink sketch of two bijen-ga – court ladies – standing next to a tree. The drawing is signed, however we have been unable to get a translation as it is too faint.. The print is on very thin rice paper – there are no tears or holes: however, the upper right corner is slightly bent over. It measures 9” by 4” and we date it to the late 19th century, Meiji period – quite possibly older. | |||||||||||
