A Woodblock Print by Haku Maki - Poem-2
This is a very fine, never-framed, woodblock print by the Sosaku-Hanga master, Haku Maki. It measures 11" by 11 1/4" and is in excellent never been framed condition. It has a design of two gold stripes - one a "V" shape - two large white spots and one tiny red dot.

The print is number 117/777 and dates from the 1980s or 90s. It is pencil numbered, titled and signed by Maki and bears his mark in white in the lower right corner.

A very good friend and colleague of ours, Dr. Daniel Tretiak, has now published the definitive book on Maki’s works and life. Dan is one of the foremost collectors and authorities on Maki in the world. The book can be found in Amazon books with this title-The Life and Works of Haku Maki (Paperback) - by Dr. Daniel Tretiak (Author)”. This long awaited book is a must for every collector of Maki prints.
