This is a very simple by elegant long rectangular pottery dish with a matte finish light turquoise green colored rim. The inside of the dish has a light tan glaze and even some splashes from the turquoise green rim's glazing. The base is not glazed. There are no signatures. We date the piece to the late 19th to early 20th century, Qing dynasty. It is in excellent condition. The dimensions are 9 3/4" long by 5 1/2" wide by 3/4" high at the rim. It would make a fine base for a bonsai tree. |
