| A beautiful and beatific Chinese wooden carving of a seated arhat - covered in thick coppery gold gilt. A superbly detailed carving with the folds of the robes clearly delineated and the expression on his face is totally riveting in its intensity. Excellent condition with the exception that both thumbs are missing - a common occurrence on these early pieces. We date this from the late 18th to early 19th century. Measures 4" high x 3" wide x 2" deep. | |||||||||
